Indonesia's second-largest city, Surabaya, is motivating its residents to recycle by offering a two-hour bus ticket for five plastic bottles. Plastic waste is a major environmental problem in Indonesia and one city bus can collect an estimated 250 kilograms (550 pounds) of plastic waste daily.
