The Polish City of Gdansk

March 10, 2014

We head to Poland's Baltic coast and the country's main port city of Gdansk. It was once a member of the powerful Hanseatic League and historically an important centre for shipbuilding. It was also here that the Solidarnosc movement began in the 1980s, which played a major role in bringing an end to communist rule in Eastern Europe. So, lots of reasons to visit - and we found a local guide.
