The international envoy to Syria Kofi Annan says he is determined to continue his mission -- despite a lack of progress so far. Briefing the UN security council, Annan said he would return to Damascus soon -- and urged world powers to "speak with one voice". But that seems a long way off. And with no end to the violence in sight -- Syria's neighbour Turkey is bracing for a drawn-out crisis.
