Rilli’s great aunt used to be a successful singer in Berlin. During her final days, she was forced to sing for the officers in Auschwitz. Today, 70 years later, Rilli has come to Berlin to launch her own singing career.
A new generation of Israelis and Germans is showing that reconciliation really is possible, even though – more than 70 years after the Holocaust – Germany still contends with anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish attacks.
