Police in Nigeria's commercial capital Lagos, arrested several sex workers from night clubs and on the streets. However, the sex workers accused the police of sexually assaulting them during the arrests. Many of the young girls involved in the sex trade say that because of poverty, they have no option but to engage in prostitution.
