Love Around the World

Instead of a honeymoon, the two filmmakers took a year-long journey around the world to explore the subject of love through the prism of different cultures, customs, and beliefs.
The film takes us along on this journey, as the pair meets over 130 couples in 30 countries, including France, Oman, Iran, India, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, China and the US. Throughout the trip, they ask how social, geographical and cultural contexts affect the idea of a romantic relationship.
Ultimately, the filmmakers answer the same questions as their interviewees. How did they meet? How did they fall in love? How would they describe their feeling now? What expectations do they have from their partner? And, finally, what is love?
