Israel has carried out attacks on the central Iranian city of Isfahan, with the state-run Fars news agency reporting that the nuclear site in the city was targeted.

Fars said the attacks had not led to any leakage of hazardous materials.

The city is home to a nuclear research center.

Iranian media also reported Israeli strikes on the city of Qom.

The government-linked news outlet Iran Nuances said a residential building was hit in the attack and reported that a 16-year-old was killed in the strike and two other people were injured.

Qom is located about 50 km (30 miles) north of the underground uranium enrichment facility at Fordo, which is seen as a major target for Israel as it seeks to dismantle Iran's nuclear program.
