Most Iranians have longed for an end to international sanctions. They have essentially crippled the economy there. But with nuclear talks showing promise the US, China, Russia and a number of EU countries have relaxed some of the sanctions.
Iran and Iraq have both said they want to cooperate more despite fresh US sanctions on Tehran. The gulf neighbors could increase bilateral trade by $8 billion.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has announced the details of US sanctions against Iran, including oil exemptions for eight countries. Tehran has said it will continue to sell oil despite the new sanctions.
