US President Donald Trump has dismissed concerns over Israel's role in the stalled ceasefire process, saying the country has "lived up to the plan."

He pledged to move quickly on to phase two, which includes forming a technocratic government in Gaza and eventually withdrawing Israeli troops. But on the ground, Palestinians face harsh conditions and uncertainty.

Key hurdles remain, including the disarmament of Hamas, which has regained control in parts of Gaza since the ceasefire began in October.
