2017's best freeride ski and snowboard champions were crowned in Switzerland.
The spectacular Bec des Rosses mountain was the stage for 28 international athletes battling it out for the top honours.
Day 8 saw gold for Poland, Britain, Slovakia, South Korea, Norway, Switzerland and Canada. Czech snowboarder Ester Ledecka caused a shock in the Super-G and Japan's Yuszuru Hanyu took figure skating honors.
Gold medals for biathlete Laura Dahlmeier and ski jumper Andreas Wellinger bookended an impressive start for Germany in Pyeongchang. There was also joy for the hosts but the united ice hockey team didn't fare so well.
It was a bittersweet day for Switzerland at the World Ski Championship in St Moritz. The team celebrated first and second place, but rued a serious injury to medal hope Lara Gut.
The penultimate day of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics saw the first woman to win gold in two different sports, while the American men won their first-ever gold medal in curling. Canada took bronze in men's ice hockey.
