Egypt's military ruler Mohamed Hussein Tantawi has spoken of his "deep regret" for last night's outbreak of violence at a football match in Port Said. 74 people were killed and at least 1000 injured when fans invaded the pitch after the match between a local side and a visiting team from Cairo. It was the worst football violence anywhere in the world in more than 15 years.
