Trump reconsiders Trans-Pacific Partnership – New VW CEO vows reform, but no revolution
The newly appointed chief executive officer of German carmaker Volkswagen has said the company can only be successful in the long term if it stays on the path of a more transparent and open corporate culture.
Volkswagen will exit the Iranian market, according to a US media report. It suggests the Trump administration convinced VW of the move as part of US efforts to undo the Iran nuclear deal. VW has not confirmed the report.
Japan has taken the lead in forging the agreement that has evolved from the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade deal after Washington pulled out, but the US would be welcomed in the future, say experts.
The United States and Vietnam have signed a number of business deals in an effort to boost bilateral trade relations. The contracts came after Donald Trump pulled out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact.
