With Carbon2Chem, ThyssenKrupp plans to reduce CO2 emissions in its steel production. Through an electrolysis process, climate-damaging carbon dioxide is transformed into other useful chemicals. On an industrial scale, this innovation could vastly reduce global carbon emissions in steel production. But the project is still in its early stages.
