Massive bushfires have devastated Australia as the blazes continue to rage across the country. Since the start of one of the worst fire seasons on record, more than 2,500 homes have been burned, thousands of people evacuated, and at least 28 killed. With smoke from the fires shrouding New Zealand skies over 2,000 kilometers away, Australia is starting 2020 on a difficult note.
