With more than 1,000 kinds of beer, Upper Franconia is a region for epicures. The beautiful scenery and historical towns in this region of northern Bavaria are also a pleasure. Check-in host Lukas Stege explores them.
In Bavaria, one model "reception center" is home to more than 1,300 asylum-seekers. Directors say the barbed-wire enclosure and lack of privacy are for "safety" and efficiency. One resident says "it's a wasted life."
