Australia's record-breaking east coast floods

Clinging to their rooftops and wading neck deep in rivers that were once roads, people in Australia's east are struggling through some of the worst floods on record — in some places peaking at 14.4 meters high. The flooding comes as the world's foremost authority on climate science, the IPCC, released its latest report describing Australia as highly vulnerable to extremes as temperatures rise.
