30 years after the Khmer Rouge was toppled - a historic trial opens in Phnom Penh

The first trial of a former Khmer Rouge leader has begun in Cambodia. Thirty years after the brutal regime was toppled, one the it's top prison officers is in court on charges of crimes against humanity, torture, and premediated murder. In all, five former Khmer Rouge leaders are facing trial for their roles in the deaths of up to two million people in the infamous Killing Fields of Cambodia. +++SYN MAZ+++
