On the 100th anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt, DW correspondent Dale Gavlak took a ride back in time on the old Hijaz Railroad. The railway line has been revived a century after Lawrence of Arabia and the Bedouins blew it up in what is now present-day southern Jordan, signaling the end of Turkish rule over the region.
