In Qatar, the world track and field championships have come to a close. Crowds were low and the heat was brutal, but the athletes finished in style.
Though she was the favorite going into the event, Mihambo had to improve on her first jumps to medal at the track and field world championships in Doha. She did it by jumping further than anyone in the last 15 years.
