Beans are a diet staple for millions of people around the world, especially in developing countries. But according to some estimates, global warming could halve bean production by 2050. DW chats to Steve Beebe, a senior bean researcher with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture, about the potential benefits of a new climate-smart bean that can withstand rises in temperature.
