Myanmar's authorities have denied charges of ethnic cleansing and have instead accused the Rohingya people of looting their own homes. At the same time, Myanmar makes it near to impossible to obtain first-hand information in the country, because journalists are barely given any access. That was a problem Lena Bodewein faced when she went into Myanmar in an attempt to report on the situation.
