Violence committed by immigrant youthes is topping the political agenda here in Germany prior to regional elections in the states of Hessen and Lower Saxony. German Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives are proposing new ways to get tough on youth crime after Hessen's state governor Roland Koch called for a crackdown on "criminal young foreigners." The issue is regarded as a vote winner in the regional voting that kicks off on January 27th. +++SYN-MAZ+++
