After a day's break, riders were back on their bikes for Stage 10, which saw them enter the mountains for the first time. Julian Alaphilippe won the 158 kilometer ride from Lake Annecy, which included four major climbs.
At least 10 people were killed over the weekend when police and gunmen loyal to the country's president, Daniel Ortega, attacked students at anti-government demonstrations. The UN estimates the violence has left a total of 280 people dead.
A migrant aid group has accused the Libyan coastguard of abandoning women and children at sea in a foundering boat. "Proactiva Open Arms" says it recovered one survivor, plus a dead mother and child, amid the remains of a destroyed migrant boat.
