The leaders of France and Germany are meeting in Berlin today. During their talks French President Nicholas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are expected to focus on prospects for Middle-East peace ahead of an international conference on the subject later this month in the US. The Franco-German consultations are held at least twice year. On this occasion the delegates are also examining ways to improve ethnic integration in their countries. As part of their field research the French and German interior ministers are paying a visit to the colorful Berlin borrough of Wedding, where DW-tv's studios happen to be located.
