The common-rail turbo charged diesel comes into its own on long highway stretches or cross-country trips, while the both systems can team up for city driving. In purely electric mode, the state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery allows for a range of up to 50 kilometers. The V60 Hybrid's fuel consumption is rated at just 1.8 liters per 100 kilometers.
