For cat lovers who like to travel, Japan's the place to go. Then head to the city of Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture for what could be considered the purr-fect guided tour.

Interactive maps allow visitors to follow cute kitties around town to see where the cool cats congregate or retreat from the glare of the limelight. The cat's-eye view leads you to tasty tidbits and cozy cocktail lounges .

This town is the cat's meow. The action continues out on the street, upstairs and down. So far, only a small part of the city centre is mapped. But more streets and shops are to be added soon. Showing tourists around town is exhausting. 300,000 feline fans have already taken advantage of the service.
