A recent skiing accident in Austria, which left one woman dead and a senior German politician seriously injured, has underlined the importance of appropriate safety measures on the slopes. Since that accident, the sales figures for ski helmets in Germany have doubled. That's been good news for south German manufacturer 'Uvex Sports', which is now leading the European market for helmets.
