Sharique got his first break in journalism with BBC News as a video producer in New Delhi, where he worked for almost two years.
He joined DW as a video producer in 2019, and has since covered a wide range of stories. Some of the biggest topics he has covered include the COVID pandemic and its impact on India, removal of Kashmir’s special status, the 2022 political crisis in Sri Lanka, and multiple elections in India.
Sharique is currently focusing on producing in-depth visual stories from South Asia that bring complex political and social issues to life.
