Due to expected early elections, German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder will spend less time visiting the United States than had been originally planned. Schröder will meet President George W. Bush in Washington, DC, on June 27, government spokesman Bela Anda said on Wednesday. But the initial plan for Schröder to travel to the San Francisco area the following day was cancelled. Schröder and Bush will meet for a talk, a working meal and a press conference. The chancellor also intends to speak before the US Chamber of Commerce. Schröder and Bush last met in February, in Mainz, Germany.
