Sarah Harman anchors DW’s flagship news program, the Journal, providing live coverage on world news and international events.
A graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Sarah began her career at Deutsche Welle Radio in Bonn, where she filed reports from around Europe for the programs Newslink and Inside Europe. She's interviewed politicians and war deserters and reported on human rights, environmental development and the Eurozone crisis.
She joined the Journal team in Berlin as a news writer in November 2011, and began presenting the Journal in early 2013. A self-confessed news junkie, Sarah is thrilled to be part of DW's 24-hour international coverage.
When she's not working, she can be found eating and drinking her way through Europe. She's visited every state in Germany except Thüringen and contributed a chapter on the German wine road (yes, it exists!) to the 2012 Fodor's Guide to Germany.
