Win for Webber

The Spanish Grand Prix is one of Formula One's most predictable circuits. So when Red Bull's Mark Webber won the Grand Prix on Sunday after leading from the start, he became the 10th driver in a row to win from pole at the Circuit de Catalunya. The Australian finished a massive 24 seconds ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.
"It was a fantastic result and I'm absolutely thrilled," Webber said after the race. "We had a faultless grand prix weekend."
After Webber held off teammate Sebastian Vettel at the start, all the drama took place behind him. McLaren's Lewis Hamilton was cruising toward second place when a front tire deflated on the penultimate lap and he crashed out. Spanish Alonso was then able to secure a crowd-pleasing second place. Vettel limped into third place with brake problems.
Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher came in fourth place after maneuvering past reigning champion Jenson Button in the 16th lap. McLaren's Button eventually took fifth.
Button still leads in the championship with 68 points from five of 19 races. Alonso has 67, Vettel 60 and Webber 53. Next week the Formula One season moves to Monte Carlo for the Monaco Grand Prix.
