The American recording artist has allegedly pointed a gun at a model following a verbal altercation over diamonds. Brown served five years of probabtion for assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Los Angeles police on Tuesday arrested American pop star Chris Brown on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
"He is being transported to robbery homicide, where he will be arrested for assault with a deadly weapon," said Lieutenant Chris Ramirez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Earlier Tuesday, a woman called police, claiming that Brown had pointed a gun to her face after a verbal altercation when she admired his friend's diamond-studded jewelry.
"I don't know if it was Chris' friend or how he was related, but that's when he told me to back away from the diamond necklace and started cussing me out and called me names," American model Baylee Curran told the "Los Angeles Times" newspaper.
"That's when Chris pulled his gun and told me to 'Get out.' He said: 'I'm sick of you girls,'" she added.
However, Brown claimed he was innocent in a video posted to his Instagram account.
"I don't care y'all going to stay playing with me like I'm the villain out here, like I'm going crazy … Good luck when you get the warrant or whatever you need to do. You're going to walk right up in here and you're going to see nothing, you idiots," Brown said.
In 2009, Brown turned himself in to the police after assaulting his then-girlfriend, recording artist Rihanna. He pleaded guilty to felony assault and making threats as part of a plea deal that saw him serve several years of probation.
