Planet Berlin: Albert Haziza's exclusive menswear emporium
After coming to Berlin in the 1960s, the Moroccan tailor Albert Haziza has built a meanwear legend in upmarket Charlottenburg with tailor-made men's suits created with the finest fabrics.

Doing business in style
Albert Haziza always appears in elegant three-piece suits: and they fit like a glove. The Moroccan men's outfitter not only knows how to tailor suits but also how to present them in style. He is probably Monsieur Albert's best advertisement — and at the age of 78! In any case, he wants to continue until he's 80.
Exclusive outfitter
Monsieur Albert has been located in the immediate vicinity of the legendary Kurfürstendamm, or Ku'damm, shopping mile since 1968. While heavily branded luxury and fashion labels have gradually dominated the neighborhood, Monsieur Albert is a last bastion of tailor-made quality and highly personal service.
Designer label
In 2002, Albert Haziza created his own "Monsieur Albert Napoli Couture" fashion brand. The tailor, who served his apprenticeship with a Jewish Berliner outfitter in Morocco, creates the designs himself, while the timeless suits are tailored — as with many major brands — exclusively in Naples. Haziza visits the city several times a year.
Luxury pioneer
From the very beginning, Monsieur Albert pioneered a stylish menswear selection from high-end Italian designers like Ermenegildo Zegna that weren't available elsewhere in Berlin in the 1960s and 1970s. Haziza's exclusive range was soon sought-after by celebrities and politicians, as photos on the shop wall of clients such as former Chancellor Helmut Schmidt or singer Rod Stewart show.
