The German pianist Volker Bertelmann, who goes by the name of Hauschka, preps his piano with foil and rods to make a very unique acoustic machine. It creates sounds that could pass for electronic music.
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's new work, Never Look Away, premiered in Venice and is Germany's submission for the Oscars. It is also a tribute to the German artist Gerhard Richter.
