An online karaoke machine that lets users sent clips of themselves warbling into a microphone has won the innovation prize at Europe's largest pop music conference, in Berlin. The Web site by the American company KSolo allows users to sing songs over a soundtrack into a microphone and then save those clips as files. The files can then be sent on to friends and are saved on the www.ksolo.com Web site, where members can rank performances by other karaoke-ists. A jury at the Popkomm music conference awarded the company with the Innovation in Music & Entertainment Award.
