The Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II. the fairytale king, remains the biggest tourist magnet in Bavaria. The Würzburg Residence and the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg are also popular with visitors.
Rising above the center of Nuremberg is its castle and a landmark of this Bavarian city. It is seen as one of the most important medieval Imperial Castles in Europe.
