The long-running American children's TV series will soon introduce a new character. Julia is a Muppet with red hair and green eyes - and is autistic. Rather than being treated like an outsider, which is too often the plight of kids on the autism spectrum, she is welcomed onto Sesame Street as just one of the gang.
