Lights Back on in London after Blackout

In an eerie reminder of the power outage that hit North America earlier this month, parts of London lost electricity for just over half an hour on Thursday. The outage hit transportation services across the British capital. Thousands took to the streets after abandoning subway trains that came to a standstill underground. Many were trapped in trains stuck in tunnels. A spokesman for Britain's energy regulator Ofgem said a fault on the transformer system caused the power loss. After 34 minutes, London Electricity was able to get the power flowing again.
