A Turkish court has upheld sentences against journalists and staff from newspaper Cumhuriyet. The case is widely viewed as a political move against critical media.
A report by the Council of Europe has found 2018 to be the worst year for journalists in Europe since the Cold War. It urged "urgent action" to protect workers from attacks it said are becoming more frequent.
Greek courts have rejected Turkey's request to extradite eight soldiers accused of taking part in a 2016 coup attempt. Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan expects "more cooperation" from Greece in regards to their extradition.
