Summer’s drawing to a close and Europe’s beaches will soon start emptying out. Now speaking of beaches, going topless - for women rather than men - was pioneered by the French and, by the 1980s, almost one in two French women took their tops off on the beach. But, according to a new survey, the practice is dying out. This report from John Laurenson in Saint Tropez.
