India's COVID-19 death toll up to 10 times higher: study

A new study indicates that up to 5 million people may have died from COVID-19 in India — more than 10 times the official count. Speaking to DW, Abhishek Anand, one of the authors, expressed surprise at discovering that not just India's infamous second wave but also its first wave was very deadly.
