Travellers hoping to make a quick commute between Munich and the city's airport will have to put those aspiriations on hold. Plans to build a high-speed train link between the two have been scrapped due to a lack of funds. Germany's transport minister said exploding costs meant the project's budget would have been DOUBLE the amount initially estimated.
