Pop and pathos
January 12, 2011Founded in 2004 with a slightly different line-up, The Bonny Situation - now consisting of Andreas Klees on guitar, drummer Beray Habip, Patrick Schroer at the keyboards, Henry Moto on bass and singer Benjamin Peters - don't like to be pigeon-holed.
"Since we've also always wanted to identify ourselves with pop music in some respect, the degree between pop and artistic music has always been varied," they've said.
With three albums, two DVDs and their own label under their belt, The Bonny Situation perform at festivals like "Bochum Total" and play support for German bands such as 2Raumwohnung, Silbermond, Revolverheld and Donots as well as international acts. Their latest album is entitled "Robot says I love you."
The Bonny Situation are members of PopCamp, a hot-bed for rising new bands sponsored by the German Music Council.
