The leaders of Ireland and the UK were among hundreds of guests attending the funeral of slain Northern Irish journalist Lyra McKee. She was shot by Irish nationalists last week during rioting in the city of Londonderry, also known as Derry.
UK and Irish leaders were among hundreds of people who came out to honor the life of Lyra McKee at a funeral in Belfast. The journalist was shot dead during rioting in Northern Ireland last week.
Police said they had arrested the 57-year-old woman under the Terrorism Act. The arrest came hours after the New IRA admitted responsibility for the killing journalist Lyra McKee.
Two men have been brought to Belfast for questioning over the murder of reporter Lyra McKee during a street riot in Londonderry. It is believed McKee was hit by a stray bullet aimed at police.
The New IRA isn't all that new. It's been around since 2012, and has roots in dissident Irish republican groups of old.
