Fighting for their rights in exile

Taekwondo athlete Parisa Farshidi had been celebrating a silver medal win at the Asian Games when she was expelled from the Iranian national team. For wearing nail varnish. Kasra Mehdipournejad, once also a star in Iran, had similar experiences. Both finally left their homes and started new lives in Berlin. Sports Life brings you the story of two people in exile, for whom sports was a salvation.
