Europe's super volcano

There is something afoot under Europe's super volcano near Naples. For years, scientists have been observing ominous signs in the Phlegraean Fields and they are warning that another eruption could be in the offing.

Italy: Archaeologists discover 'slave room' at Pompeii 06.11.2021

The room containing three beds and one window was excavated in a villa buried by the 79 A.D. volcanic eruption. Officials say it offers "a very rare insight into the daily life of slaves" in the ancient city.

Ancient chariot unearthed at Pompeii 27.02.2021

The chariot is the first of its kind to be found in its entirety. Experts at the ancient city, buried by volcanic lava in 79, have discovered similar items in the years since it was discovered.
