125 Years of the Pilatus Cogwheel Railway
The Pilatus Railway in Switzerland is the steepest cog railway in the world - and it's considered an engineering marvel. It leads from Lake Lucerne up to the top of Mount Pilatus. Not only does this allow visitors to see spectacular views, it also benefits Swiss tourism and the hotel located at the top. 2014 marks the railway's 125th anniversary, so we hopped aboard for the ride of a lifetime.

Twenty years ago a group of German university students started a rumor that the western German city of Bielefeld doesn't really exist. Since then books and countless articles have been written about it and even a film has been made on the subject. But exist it does, and we went to visit this charming German city.

Sébastien Preschoux is a French artist who recreates intricate webs with string as his material. It all started for him because of his passion for geometrics. Some of Sébastien Preschoux' work has even found its way into museums - such as at Paris's Palais de Tokyo Museum for Modern Art. We meet the artist as he busily works on another project.
Suspense Author Ken Follett Turns 65
Author Ken Follett is celebrating his 65th birthday this week. Throughout his career the Brit has written a great number of novels, but his thriller "Eye of the Needle" is still the most widely known. It's been translated into 30 languages, won an Edgar Award and also hit the silver screen. The author tells us how his career started and what motivates him.
The Airport Sculpture of Richard Wilson
Travelers who use Terminal 2 at London's Heathrow Airport will be confronted with Europe’s largest-ever sculpture – done by Richard Wilson. It’s called Slipstream - 77 tons of aluminum suspended up to 18 meters high in the entry hall. It represents the imaginary flight path of a tumbling stunt plane. It’s set to become one of Britain's most-seen sculptures.

Sternefresser.de is a culinary blog run by four German gourmets that has really caught the attention of some of Germany's most posh restaurants. Theblog gets more than 80,000 views a month, and we dined with a couple of the bloggers to watch them in action.
