After months of speculation, Amazon, the online retail giant, has announced the locations of two new headquarters. The sites are Long Island City in New York and Arlington, Virginia just outside Washington DC:
The high demand for residency and citizenship in EU member states has created a market for corrupt national officials to forge documents and pocket the money. Governments even profit on selling citizenship or residency.
Ordinary Iranians are likely to suffer the most under the latest round of US sanctions. Though some optimism remains about backdoor support through oil exports, the long-term outlook for Iran's economy remains dire.
