French cultural center
The Centre Pompidou was an initiative by former French president Georges Pompidou and architects Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers and Gianfranco Franchini. It opened to the public in 1977 and is the home to contemporary art exhibitions. It also houses an extensive library and music research center.
