Uncertainty surrounds shipping through the Strait of Hormuz  after a fragile Iran–US ceasefire faltered. The two‑week truce aimed to reopen the vital waterway, briefly allowing some vessels to pass. But renewed Israeli strikes on Iran‑backed Hezbollah in Lebanon stalled progress.

Iranian media say traffic halted again as oil tankers turned back. Iran has hit Gulf oil facilities, threatened Israel and accused Washington of violating the deal, leaving more than 1,000 ships stranded.
